TrashBench Modded RTX 2060: Sub-Zero Water Cooling Boosts Boost Clocks
January 25, 2026 - It is not a common sight to see a graphics processing unit (GPU) running ice-cold water through its heatpipes without the use of massive liquid-nitrogen equipment typically found in high-stakes overclocking competitions. This unique scenario was recently achieved by enthusiast TrashBench, who modified an RTX 2060 by cutting up its stock heatsink and attaching custom tubes to route sub-zero liquid directly to the graphics card's die.
The result of this ambitious project is a modded, liquid-cooled RTX 2060 that maintains a staggering 13°C under gaming conditions. This extreme thermal management not only kept the temperatures incredibly low but also effectively unlocked higher boost clocks that were previously unattainable.
